HOLY CATCH UP BATMAN!

Hey You! It's been over a full month since I blogged and there is so much to catch up on.

First and foremost, if you are reading this, you probably know that I have since moved to Naples, Italy! Good ol Bella Napoli! Talk about culture shock, struggles, and new motivations in such a short period of time! So the culture shock was very very expected. Hawaii to Florida to Italy all in just under 4 months. After about a week here I got over that. The food is fresh, clean, and just amazing. But then again, I am super limited on what I can prep and keep on hand. We are still after nearly 30 days, living in a hotel room with a mini fridge. Granted we chose this option over a mini kitchen/full kitchen, I had ZERO idea how HARD it truly is to stay with a clean eating diet while not being able to prep or keep a bulk of food on hand.

I am severely struggling with my diet right now. It has been an emotionally and physically trying time for me. There are days I've cried. There are days I've screamed. There are days I've literally just slept because I didn't want to eat bad food, more than what I was used to eating, etc. I am working on making the smartest choices I can while I am still in the hotel. For example - tonight's dinner which is ordered in from a restaurant nearby will be grilled chicken with roasted mushrooms. Granted everything will be covered in yummy olive oil, I am not afraid of the fats... and it's fresh! But beyond that there have been a LOT of carbs consumed. Nearly twice or triple what I was used to eating and I don't feel like me. I have a lot of sandwiches. I am over bread. I feel bogged down some days. I feel like I am lacking the energy I used to have. I feel like my progress in the weightloss department has hit a wall because my body doesn't love the carbs. I took today as the day I'd start making healthier choices regarding my diet and what my body reacts well to. It hasn't been easy, but, it's working.

I have gotten back into a decent gym routine which makes me full of joy daily! The first two weeks were the hardest because I went from working out 2-3 hours a day to NOTHING. That's gut wrenching and totally hit me super hard. I thought I'd be ok with it, but, I was definitely not. But since getting back into the gym, I have found some new motivation and decided to set some goals that I'd like to hti by July, Sept, and Dec. I'm keeping them to myself for the most part, but I will let you know when I hit them... Because they will be bragging moments for sure. On that note, I have also taken a liking to running. Believe it or not, I enjoy it. I am currently working on my distances and enjoying it. I even get outside and brave the streets of Lago Patria for my runs.

I'll keep today short so I can work on gathering my thoughts for the next blog :)

Till next time yall!
